MONDAY’S LOW-SCORING NBA GAME: PHILADELPHIA AT MILWAUKEE

The Philadelphia 76ers are opening the week with a visit to the Bradley Center where at 8:00 PM eastern time they’ll face off against a standard Milwaukee Bucks team that has been underwhelming at best this season. Can we trust Philly to yield straight up value here or should we go over the totals instead? Let’s find out!

Philadelphia 76ers

Philly is 7-3 in their last 10 games so they’re definitely doing decent lately despite their most recent loss against an all-mighty Oklahoma City Thunder on which the final score was 112-122. Despite being a superior team than the Bucks, the 76ers are only 2-2 away, which means that we can’t really trust them performing while playing outside Philadelphia. In the last 10 games, the 76ers are 6-4 in the Over/Under but 2-2 when playing away, so once again we can see that the away statistics for the 76ers are pretty underwhelming. Anything can happen. At this point it’s fair to say that the totals are sure to yield better value than the straight up but before we go that route, let’s see what the Bucks have to offer.

Milwaukee Bucks

Being 5-5 in the last 10 games doesn’t say much about the Bucks other than they’re a mediocre team, but one that can yield value if we look into the statistics. We already mentioned the totals so let’s look into that. 2-8 in the Over/Under evidently favors the Under. 1-4 in the Over/Under at home is simply ripe for the taking. See the trend? Games against the Bucks tend to be low-scoring encounters. Additionally, Mirza Teletovic and Jabari Parker are both out on injuries and will not be at the Bradley Center to defend their home turf from invading 76ers. It’s also important to be aware that the last 3 times these teams played each other, they went 1-2 in the Over/Under so at this point we’re definitely leaning Under.
